Theories and research regarding child and adolescent development using a cultural and contextual approach with emphasis on understanding of diversity and cultural variation. Liberal studies premajors and majors and students seeking teaching credentials will complete TE 170; all others will complete Child and Family Development 170. Not open to students with credit in CFD 270, PSY 230, or TE 170.
