Using ClassCatalog

By accessing or using ClassCatalog, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

ClassCatalog is a planning aid

ClassCatalog is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by San Diego State University or Rate My Professors.

ClassCatalog does not enroll you in courses and does not replace my.SDSU, the official SDSU catalog, degree evaluation, academic advising, or other official university systems.

Always verify prerequisites, restrictions, meeting information, degree requirements, deadlines, and seat availability with official SDSU sources before making enrollment decisions. SDSU's official records control.

Accuracy and availability

Class, seat, professor, catalog, and schedule information can be incomplete, delayed, outdated, unavailable, or incorrect.

Seat information is refreshed periodically and can lag behind official SDSU systems. A displayed seat is not a guarantee that the seat will still be available when you try to enroll.

Third-party data and links

ClassCatalog uses information from public SDSU sources and cached Rate My Professors data. Community-submitted professor ratings are opinions and may be incomplete, subjective, or outdated.

External websites are operated independently and have their own terms, policies, and content.

Acceptable use

You may use ClassCatalog for lawful class-search and planning purposes.

You may not intentionally:

• interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
• bypass access controls, security measures, or rate limits;
• send excessive automated traffic that degrades the service;
• attempt unauthorized access to administrative or private functionality;
• use ClassCatalog in a way that violates applicable law.

Payments and refunds

ClassCatalog does not currently charge users for access to the public class finder, so no refund policy currently applies to ordinary use of the site.

If paid features are introduced later, applicable pricing, cancellation, and refund terms should be disclosed before purchase.

Third-party names and content

SDSU, Rate My Professors, and other third-party names, trademarks, content, and data remain subject to the rights of their respective owners. Reference to a third party does not imply sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement of ClassCatalog.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ClassCatalog is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the ClassCatalog operator is not responsible for losses or consequences resulting from reliance on inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or delayed information, including missed enrollment opportunities or academic planning decisions.

Privacy

The separate Privacy Policy explains browser storage, requests, analytics, and third-party services.

These terms may be updated as ClassCatalog changes. The date at the top identifies the current version.
