SDSU CHIN 100 — Elem Converstnl Chinese
Introductory conversational course for students with little or no previous background in Chinese. Focuses on daily tasks that one may encounter when first going to a Chinese-speaking community. Develops elementary listening and speaking skills needed for accomplishing these tasks. Course uses language acquisition skills to help students understand cultural differences and develop a global perspective. Taught in Chinese. Native speakers of Mandarin Chinese will not receive credit for taking lower division courses except with advance approval from the department. No credit will be given for lower division courses taken after successfully completing any upper division Chinese course taken in Chinese.
