Explores issues of race and identity formation, contestation, and transformation in Europe. Students will examine evolving understandings of what it means to be ¿European¿ in a diverse Europe. Topics include: Colonialism, Roma Rights, Islamophobia, Racism, Anti-racist activism and Hip Hop Culture.
