SDSU HIST 390W — Writing in History
Practice of different genres of historical writing in one field of history (chosen by instructor), mastery of library skills, citations, academic integrity, source evaluation, pre-writing, and drafting, critiquing, and revising. May be repeated with consent of instructor. Satisfies the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) for students who get a minimum grade of C or Cr. Upper-division courses should only be taken by students who have completed 60 semester units or more. In exceptional cases, a student who has completed fewer than 60 units may enroll in upper division courses.
Course requirements
Prerequisites: 6 units of lower division history. Limited to History majors/minors and Social Science ITEP and SST majors. Completion of lower division GE Area 1. Junior or senior standing.
