Field and laboratory practice in news gathering and writing, covering news beats including courts, local governments, and other news sources. Emphasis on accuracy, clarity, comprehensiveness and interpretation.
Course requirements
Prerequisites: JMS 300, JMS 310W, and JMS 315 with a grade of C (2.0) or better in each course. Credit or concurrent enrollment in JMS 430. Open only to Journalism and Media Studies majors. Proof of completion of prerequisite(s) required: Copy of transcript.
