SDSU JMS 485 — Research for Journalism
The Research Methods for Journalism course equips students with essential skills in understanding and evaluating qualitative and quantitative research design and results. Students will learn to critically evaluate sources, analyze media content, and apply ethical research practices to produce credible and impactful journalism. This foundational course prepares students for advanced studies and professional roles that require strong analytical and investigative abilities.

Prerequisites: JMS 300, JMS 310W, JMS 315, with a grade of C (2.0) or better in each course.
