SDSU PORT 101 — Elementary Portuguese I

Introduction to grammar, listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Communicative approach to developing language skills. Course uses language acquisition skills to help students understand cultural differences and develop a global perspective. Not open to students with credit in PORT 102, PORT 110, PORT 203, PORT 204, or higher-numbered Portuguese course. Taught in Portuguese. Native speakers of Portuguese will not receive credit for taking lower division courses in Portuguese except with advance approval from the department. No credit will be given for lower division courses taken after successfully completing any upper division Portuguese course taught in Portuguese. No credit will be given for PORT 101, PORT 102, PORT 110, PORT 203, PORT 204 taken out of sequence.
